The Guiding Principle
The best interpreter of the Bible is the Bible itself. The New Testament is the only infallible interpreter of the Old Testament. Therefore, the New Testament writings contain “both the principles and methods of a sound, trustworthy exegesis.” Jesus and His Apostles are our only divinely inspired interpreters to sound prophetic understanding. Where the New Testament speaks to and interprets Old Testament prophecy, it is to be accepted above all other voices. One cannot claim to be a true New Testament believer, while rejecting the plain and clear New Testament interpretation.

Our Covenant

It is recognized that there will be those who are unchanged in their position against such truth as is presented here. I accept this as a reality. However, what I ask is to simply consider the total weight of the evidence presented here.

One of the main arguments against this ‘security’ teaching, is that the retractors say that it teaches that one can get saved, then go out and live a life of sin and still go to heaven. As I have stated earlier, I say again, “All that the Scriptures teach would say, GOD FORBID!!!” In all my years of hearing any preacher teaching on this topic, I have never heard such a conclusion or the hint of it, coming from their lips. If one says or believes this, it is only evidence that they either do not understand the Grace of God, or have never truly experienced it. The grace of God is not a license to sin, as some slanderously accuse, but it is the Power of God to live a conquering life over sin.

A covenant relationship is not one in which you may walk in and out of on a whim. Once covenant has been established, it is established. This is why it important for us to understand the significance of Jesus as Our Covenant Man, our surety, our mediator. Every one that God has given Him, He has lost none of them. (Jn. 17:12)

Wherefore, He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come to God by him, seeing that He ever liveth to make intercession for them. (Heb. 7:25)

The phrase here, “to the uttermost” is literally, to perfection or completion. He is able to save to completeness, because He ever lives to make intercession for those who come to God by Him. Praise His Name!!!

It is my desire for every believer who reads this; to be secure in their covenant relationship with God, so that they may progress beyond the worries and the guilt which living under the yoke of Works brings. WE DO NOT WORK TO OBTAIN THE GRACE OF GOD, BUT OUR WORKS OF FAITH ARE EVIDENCE OF THE PRESENSE OF THE GRACE OF GOD.
