Redigging The Wells Of Our Fathers
Second Edition.
WARNING: THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR EVERYONE!
This latest offering is the product of years of study and research into not only what was original to the first century Church, but also how the Church in the latter centuries embarked on a campaign of eradicating these Hebraic roots from the life and theology of the Church. This campaign's goal was to replace its Jewish roots with Gentile practices and ideology, which it has for the most part, successfully done.
However, as stated above, this book is not for everyone. If you are content with the type of Christianity that presents itself on Sunday morning, if you have bought into the structure and hierarchy of leadership that rules, if you are happy with the traditions that have been handed down through the centuries, then it is best you avoid this book. In other words, if you are content in the behemoth that has become "Christianity", and do not see any contradiction between it and what the Scriptures portray as what was original in the First Century Church, then you should leave now.
There seems to be a renewed interest in the Jewish roots of the Early Church. But many who begin down this road have no idea what they are about to discover. Some may hope to find validation for the Church's present day practices and beliefs. They will be sadly disappointed.
When one begins to uncover the wells that have been covered over by centuries of men's traditions and their councils, you will find wells of Living Waters that our apostolic fathers drank from.
